Abang Obed

Abang Obed is a Security Engineer & Indie Filmmaker from Cross River, Nigeria, based in Abuja. His work lies at the intersection of technology and art, where code and film collide.

With a core focus on software development and vulnerability research, Obed has identified and patched critical vulnerabilities, developed event-driven applications, and contributed to the cybersecurity and computing research community. At the same time, he explores narrative depth using visual storytelling through indie filmmaking and visual effects practices.

He also takes on commissioned and commercial projects, working with select brands and institutions to deliver impactful, high-quality work.

  • Soccer Behavioural Analysis- SBA
    • Soccer Behavioral Analysis is a mobile analysis app based on monitoring players on real time soccer matches to check for mood changes during a game to find and predict fouls, tackles (both lost and successful) and pick out players who would likely leave on loan, free or increase their market value through a certain match.
  • Azure Stack USSD service
    • Scalable USSD Service Using Azure Stack Hub for Enterprise Mobile Access to USSD services on network with africastalking.
  • circles- Bluetooth Video Calling Protocol
    • P2P, Low resolution and snap bitrate implementation of bluetooth video calling protocol just as bitchat but for videos.
  • React-OauthRouter
    • Basic oauth support for react-router package for oauth linking to Facebook, Google, GitHub, LinkedIn and Twitter using developer tokens and axios.
